How difficult was it to fully go primal in your diet? I ask as I am struggling at the moment as I live with my parents who seem to buy processed food for the love of God everything has flipping bread around it lol. Also what tips and tricks have you picked up? Thanks in advance

Honestly, it wasn’t that hard. Some days I feel like eating rice or chips (few days) but the after feeling isn’t worth it to me anymore. I did live in a house with others that weren’t primal. Specifically my husband. He’s Polynesian, so canned meats, instant noodles, and rice were a staple to him. I ended up just having a cabinet filled with the things that I ate and could cook with. Prior to my husband going primal with me, I used to make meals for just me. That’s something you can do. My biggest tips are to never stop reading/researching on the lifestyle. There’s so much information out there, look for it and use it! Planning/Organizing your meals (to me anyway) really help. I normally plan out what I’m making for the week (which I also check my local ads to see if any goodies are on sale — and if they are, I stock up!) Then everyday, I cook what I’ve already bought. That way, nothing really goes to waste because everything I have is everything I needed.

In the end, plan, budget, and put YOURSELF first. In a household with other people it’s so hard to put yourself. There’s temptations and even some people judge (some of my family don’t understand why I don’t eat “whole grain”) But just do it. Once you start eating this way (the clean way!) you will see and feel the benefits. Good luck. I’m still learning myself. Tumblr has a GREAT community of Primal / Paleo and just health-fit people in general! Tumblr is the very reason how I found out about the Primal lifestyle.

EDIT: & eat when you are hungry!! Don’t count the calories! Biggest mistakes I’ve seen.
